Melissa’s Studio - Message for
October, 2008
    Normally I would say “Happy October” but this year I’ll say “Hang in There October”.  With the economy tanking and the election getting ugly, it’s a good time to immerse oneself in creativity.  Starting Saturday, Click on ART LESSON #6: Definition painting, Step by Step and take a nice long break from all that grim reality.



 I can’t tell you how much that conversation helped me. Here are some examples of work I’ve done since. Can you see the growth and clarity?  I can.  Many thanks to Karl and Mika for their generosity and time.

   A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get a visit to my studio from Karl and Mika, two young art professionals who work at Downtown galleries. They looked at the art I had assembled and picked out a half dozen paintings that especially spoke to them. They told me what appealed to them in each work and suggested I keep those specifics in mind as I make progress through whatever it is I’m doing! :-D
